Learn to write and sequence instructions. This activity aims to encourage pupils to think of the need to carry out certain acts in a certain order. They will have to arrange a series of familiar activities into the correct order and will also get the chance to write their own set of instructions if the teacher deems this appropriate. This resource pack revises the use of a thesaurus to choose appropriate synonyms and demonstrates how the choice of words can change the shade of meaning in poetry. Pupils can use the interactive activity to create their own concrete poem using a typical Welsh image as a background to build their poem upon and then print out the completed version. Alternatively the activity could be used for whole class demonstration before printing out backgrounds for the children to write their poem on.
