Twenty non calculator topic questions. I have used these effectively as starter activities over the last five weeks.

A useful starter to use prior to teaching proofs of parallel vectors.

I will run the resource... or attempt to run it... with each pair of students receiving both the even and odd questions. One student answers the even questions and the other answers the odd. The answer from the previous question is needed to answer the question you are on. The final answer is 27. This task can be ran with students working individually.

I made this resource with the intention of increasing effectiveness of the homework tasks used for independent study.

A lesson using tasks that deepen understanding of coordinate geometry at GCSE. Tasks can easily be adapted for post 16 study.

A lesson of work that invites students to solve trigonometric expressions/equations in their exact form. I successfully used this with a class whose target grades range from an A to a C (7 to 4).

Two or three lessons worth of work on trigonometry on right angled triangles.

An introduction into the laws used with circle theorems. I have ran this lesson numerous times. The note taking (by the students) works really well if they have a print out with blank circles and space around for note taking. Each theorem is taken one at a time, notes taken, examples gone through and followed by students practising.

Severn activities/problems designed to get students thinking about fractions in a deeper manner. I am planning on making similar resources to be used as homework tasks.
