Following on from a recent assessment paper I realised my students needed experience when choosing what technique to use when factorising. I will give the students several minutes to read through the expressions and place them in order of difficulty. We will then proceed to factorise and observe whether we were correct in our sorting activity.

I made this resource with the intention of increasing effectiveness of the homework tasks used for independent study.

An introduction into the laws used with circle theorems. I have ran this lesson numerous times. The note taking (by the students) works really well if they have a print out with blank circles and space around for note taking. Each theorem is taken one at a time, notes taken, examples gone through and followed by students practising.

Two lessons worth of work on bounds (otherwise known as limits). Includes finding the bounds of values, accuracy, bounds of area, perimeter, volume and of expressions.

Includes a review of finding angles in triangles, quadrilaterals, on a straight line, at a point. Slides on note taking for revision purposes. Work on spotting missing angles in parallel lines.

To introduce the concept of bearings.
