Thinking Outside the Box! 20 days worth of creative thinking… The concept: to encourage children’s imagination and creative skills through free exploration. This has not only been a big hit with the children, but was highly rated during a recent inspection. Simply print out, hand to the children and discuss what is drawn on the front (number, shape etc). Tell the children they are going to transform it into something completely different. It provided lots of innovation and creativity. The discussions that came from it were priceless.

Perfect addition for successful writing! As a trained writing moderator, I have seen how vital it is to expose the children to rich language during the planning and writing stages. I have uploaded the vocabulary mats that I created to aid the success of writing. There are different mats depending on the setting which is being described: Forest/Jungle Beach/Island Caves Roads Gardens Volcano Mountains Streams, waterfalls and river Cities, towns and villages They include an extensive list of nouns, adjectives, verbs, phrases and then full sentences to inspire writing.
