I have been a teacher for over 20 years - all the stuff I upload has been tried and tested in my classroom. I don't mind a discussion on Twitter too where I also share new resources. I now have a personal website: https://andylutwyche.com/

Catch Up Questions - Number - Editable Part 1

This is a booklet of 28 worksheets that can be used for either revision, homework or those students who have missed work with each containing a QR code that will scan to a short tutorial video. It is designed to cover the entire GCSE number curriculum. I have tried to order the sheets in a logical way, although not necessarily in "difficulty" order, the topics are grouped. These are the Word files so they can be edited to your own preference.

Levelled/Graded Worksheets - Number - Editable

These are levelled/graded worksheets covering the GCSE curriculum and split up into topics. Each individual sheet builds from the most straightforward elements of the topic through to the most challenging. At the top of each sheet is a “RAG” table for students to complete before and/or after completing each section; every statement in a RAG table is connected to a section in the sheet. I have produced these for two reasons: firstly to allow my Year 11 students to focus their revision on the areas that will make it most efficient and secondly to have a bank of worksheets available that students can differentiate themselves for any GCSE topic within lessons. These are the Word files to allow for editing. Answers are included. Updated December 2018.

Angle Properties Spiders

Angle Properties Spiders

(2)
Six "spiders" on six different sets of angle properties starting with "on a line", "around a point", "triangles", "polygons", "parallel lines" and "circle theorems". The final two require students to name the property used and I have left a couple of the parallel lines with the answers filled in so that students can draw their own diagram. The activity is designed to create discussion.
Sequences Spiders

Sequences Spiders

(1)
This set of 4 "spiders" takes students through generating a sequence from an nth term, to finding the nth term of an arithmetic sequence to working with some fairly straight forward quadratic and cubic sequences. The concept is designed to encourage discussion.
Prime Factors Explosions
alutwychealutwyche

Prime Factors Explosions

(4)
Two sets of "explosions" involving prime factors and using them to calculate LCM and HCF. There are some where students are given the two numbers and have to find prime factors, HCF and LCM; there are others where students are given the prime factors and have to find the numbers, HCF and LCM; there are some where students are given the HCF and LCM and need to find the numbers and their prime factors. It it is designed to lead to discussion.

Sequence Matching

Sequence Matching

(2)
Four sets of sequences for students to match with their nth terms. there is always one extra sequence which doesn't match and this requires students to find the nth term. It's designed to generate discussion. The five sets get increasingly difficult and are all arithmetic until the final two sets which are all quadratic sequences, the first lot being relatively easy, the second not so.

I've been asked a few times what these are like so thought I'd put one of each "Number", "Algebra", "Geometry" and "Data" out there for people to peruse at their leisure. These are worksheets that can be used for either revision, homework or those students who have missed work with each containing a QR code that will scan to a short tutorial video.

Sequence Match-Up

(2)
This is a second attempt to upload these as there was a problem with the first (no idea what and not of my doing!) and I have tried converting to PDF to negate any issues. Anyway, there are two sets of arithmetic to match with their nth terms, plus two nth terms that don't match for students to generate themselves.
Ratio Matching
alutwychealutwyche

Ratio Matching

(1)
Simply: match the ratios that simplify to the ratio in the centre. I have used units of measurement on each matching activity as well. There are four to do and the answers make students simplify the ratios that don't match.

Team Revision Tasks - Core 1 (Edexcel)

These are an attempt to break from the monotony of past papers in the run up to exam season. I have taken 2 or 4 (depending on whether they will fit on a page!) questions from past papers and put them on one sheet; I will photocopy onto A3 for students to have a go in groups and discuss. The aims/rules etc are all listed if you wish to follow them and hopefully they all make sense. I have also provided answers.
