Current, Voltage, Soldiers and Chocolate Bars

(1)
A carefully animated model for current and voltage. Current is represented by soldiers running along wires, voltage is the chocolate bars (energy) they transfer. The presentation contains an entertaining starter, a quiz and worksheets with answers to review learning. I have found the model to be very effective with a huge range of ability levels from year 7 to year 12.

A GCSE Physics summary revision lesson on parachuting. Covers forces, motion graphs, momentum & energy topics. The basics are handled with a card sort and forces quiz. There is lots here to extend more able students. This resource can be easily tailored to suit your class. Students are gripped by the skydiving/ parachuting context. There is plenty of material here which could easily be cropped to tailor to your own class.

Exam questions and worked answers for A level Physics Engineering

I selected 18 questions from the past papers to use with my year 13 class. All the answers are carefully presented. The difficulty is graded for every question ★★★☆☆ The formatting enabled me to use the questions on our remote learning platform. I tried to choose questions with interesting examples. So not the salad spinner one. In the 2020 lockdown I developed four interactive ebooks to help teach and test material for the Engineering unit. These are strongly recommended. Moments of Inertia Flywheel Practical pV graphs for Engineering Engine Cycles and Calculations

Four in a Row Interactive Quiz Game: GCSE Magnets FREE PHYSICS FUN

(3)
Four in a Row games on six other physics topics are available individually from my shop or as a bundle at a greatly reduced price. Four in a Row is a game for your whiteboard. Nothing needs to be printed or prepared to play this game. The game-play is somewhere between noughts and crosses and blockbusters. Two teams alternate, competing to correctly answer questions on the grid. The board is interactive - clicking tiles changes the colours and also reveals answers. Magnets Four in a Row is designed primarily for the new GCSE Physics/ Combined Science courses but may be useful for younger years also.
