The exercises include comprehension questions, vocabulary and writing. They are based on a worksheet written by the “All Things Topics” website but exercises were transformed, images were added and it is in full French (no English at all). What’s Included ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… A three-page illustrated, printable and modifiable worksheet (DOCX + its PDF equivalent) with 5 exercises (including a writing exercise). A complete answer sheet (3 pages) Details: First, the students will have to read a text and complete the 10 empty spaces with the words from the list on the left. Then, they will have to find the meaning of 8 words, among the proposed choices. The words are: capitale, éruption, indépendant, source, cendre, escale, touriste, atmosphère. In the following exercise, 6 questions about the text must be answered (true or false). Then, 8 multiple-choice questions are to be answered. Finally, three detailed answers should be written on three questions: would you like to visit Iceland? What are the common points and differences between Iceland and your country? What is your favorite place among those you have visited? We hope you will enjoy these exercises!

"J'apprends à lire et à écrire" - 100-page illustrated book for illiterate wanting to learn French

(0)
With the book “J’apprends à lire et à écrire”, you will help illiterate people to learn French. This book was designed after my experience as a teacher of French as a foreign language (FLE). I experienced the learning difficulties of an audience that suffered from not being able to read French well. The approach adopted is intended to be progressive and “reassuring”, in particular by evoking words from everyday life. We first insist on the recognition of simple and then complex syllables. Then, many copying exercises allow the learner to get used to the drawing and writing. Often, word prints are present so that the student is not left without a reference point. Then come word and sentence recognition exercises. It will be a matter of making the right choice and, sometimes, filling in empty spaces. Finally, comprehension exercises at the end of the book allow the learner to practice concrete applications of what he or she has learned (in particular with the study of the verbs ÊTRE -to be- and AVOIR -to have). This book is ideal for people who have not yet mastered the basics of reading and writing French. It is aimed at adults and young adults (newcomers, A1.1 and A1), as well as children who need reinforcement of their skills (CP, CE1 = 1st, 2nd grade). He will provide a definite help to pass the DILF (Diplôme Initial de Langue Française). You can also buy the book here: Livre "J’apprends à lire et à écrire" We hope you will enjoy our work!

This map will help your students identify the main English speaking countries. You will find 9 arrows where they can write the name of the appropriate English speaking country. This is suitable for young English speaking students as well as ESL students. For this sheet, I used the Gall-Peters projection, which offers a more reliable representation of the world map (instead of the Mercator projection, which is overused but not quite accurate!). I already used it during my courses and had a good outcome. You will find a Word document (DOC) that can be easily edited, as well as a printable PDF.
