Advanced French Skit - Au Restaurant - Un couple déjeune

Advanced French Skit - Au Restaurant - Un couple déjeune This is a one page French skit for your students to have fun acting out in class in pairs (the skit has two characters). The title of this skit is Un couple déjeune. This resource is great for advanced students in a traditional setting or for secondary immersion. The level of grammar and vocabulary is quite high and challenging. This skit is a fun way to keep high level French fun and interesting. I can’t show you a sample since this is only a one page resource, but here is an excerpt from the skit to give you an idea: Pierre: D’accord, moi je vais prendre un Perrier rondelle, j’aime bien une tranche de citron dans mon eau gazeuse. En revanche, je n’aime pas les pailles en plastique, donc je vais le commander sans paille. Sophie: Ah oui tu as raison, les pailles sont représentatives des dérives du consumérisme. Alors qu’est-ce que tu me conseilles? Ils ont des plats végétariens?**

Les Loisirs - French 20 questions game - No prep speaking activity

(0)
Les Loisirs - French 20 questions game - No prep speaking activity The game of 20 questions is a fun and effective way to practice forming French questions. This version of the game focuses on 52 nouns and verbs which are all about the les loisirs / hobbies / pastimes. This game work for any level as it is written in French and English. Want a real challenge for your upper levels or immersion students? Use the French only version! Included: 1 version with vocabulary written in French and English 1 version with vocabulary written in French only Have students work in small groups of 2-4 or project the game and use it as a whole class activity. This game includes 52 words. Many of the words may be new to your students as this game is meant not only to practice forming questions, but also to build vocabulary. I like to allow my students to look at the game chart while they play until they’re somewhat familiar with the words. After they’ve played the games a few times looking at the French-English version they feel more prepared to move on to the French only version. You could also photocopy a two sided version, one with English and French and the other with French only. One student in the small group or class chooses a word on the chart. Other students ask up to 20 questions trying to guess the secret word. The student who has chosen the secret word can answer using the following responses: OUI - NON - PARFOIS - RAREMENT - GÉNÉRALEMENT - PEUT-ÊTRE - CELA DÉPEND - PROBABLEMENT Alternative game play: To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret word describe it to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret word, other students listen to the description and guess it.

Advanced French conversation questions - La technologie

❖ La Technologie- Technology - Discussion ciblée - French themed conversation questions ❖ Part of our series of “discussions ciblées”. List of 35 vocabulary words related to the water’s edge Includes 20 discussion questions. The questions are suitable for upper level and AP French or for high school French immersion. This resource is especially useful for your chapter on technology. The questions are thorough and thought provoking. I like to print the list of words on one side of a page and the questions on the other side so that students can easily refer to the new vocabulary during their conversations. If you make a two sided copy everything will fit on one page. Also included is a set of speaking cards for students to use prior to using the discussion cards so that they can become familiar with the theme and many new words. The cards just need to be printed and cut out so that your students can use them in pairs or small groups. Each card says, “Décris le mot suivant en français et ton partenaire le devinera.” The vocabulary word is written both in French and English since many of the words will be new. This exposure to the vocabulary will make the discussion that follows flow easier. Students will still have easy access to the list of words on the other side of the photocopied questions. Don’t want to print? That’s ok! A PDF with just one card per page is included for easy projecting or for tablets. ❖ La Technologie- Technology - Discussion ciblée - French themed conversation questions ❖
