Fast Logical Aspirational Student Help, also known as FLASH feedback is a skill-based
type of feedback system using codes for marking
Pros:
Eliminate unnecessary workload,
Reduce workload,
Increase students’ metacognition,
Raise attainment,
New to this system? It’s not a problem. As with any new system, explain to your
students that you’ll be using these codes to mark their written work. Using a visualiser,
you could display an essay from a student, and mark it live using the codes, repeat with
another essay and then ask students to mark their own.

My MFL Box
This is a photocard activity with commentaries and feedback for students to understand how their photocard is marked and given feedback. Students listen to the 2 candidates and need to find the correct feedback comments and fill in a feedback sheet.
Using structure strips have been incredibly useful and rewarding for my pupils.
I have been using them to help students to form better quality paragraphs.
