Vaping is on the rise for young people. With new regulations in the UK as of May 2017, I put this PSHEE tutor resource together to get students thinking about the impacts of vaping on their health. There are lots of videos to watch/discuss. You will need to change slide 9 to reflect your own School's response to students bringing vape equipment on school premises.

How peer pressure can lead to bullying. Some examples of peer-led bullying, videos from Stonewall and some campaigns from DitchTheLabel. Students are required to think critically in response to some statements and develop their extended writing skills. Differentiated writing task to complete.

Peer to peer abuse is high on the Ofsted agenda for safeguarding CPD provision. This CPD brings together a number of definitions / domains of P2P abuse including bullying, sexual, physical and others. This CPD refers to MyConcern as the tool of reporting child protection concerns within a school setting - if you do not use my concern, please update this slide to reflect the CP Policy you require your staff to follow. Adjust this session to your needs. There are many references included for you to do further research if you so wish. This is merely a starting point to raise awareness and alert staff to the every growing problem we face in UK schools.

A confronting assembly based on the shocking true story of Kayleigh Haywood, 15, who was groomed online, raped and killed by two older men. The video featured in this assembly was developed by Leicester Police and Kayleigh's parents to raise awareness of the dangers of meeting people online whose true identity is unknown. This also explains how to report an issue online but also discusses the other dangers of online safety including gaming/social networking.

An introduction into different types of punishments in the Youth Court System and how sentencing works in England.

In light of recent terror attacks in the UK, I wanted to put together a resource to use with KS4 + students to talk about what the UN definition is for terrorism, challenge the stigma facing Islam/Muslims, and how to respond to terrorism - emphasising humanity, love - not hate and blame.
