An activity sheet that combines the maths concepts of position and direction within a New Zealand ANZAC unit study (with a focus on World War 1 battles). Students work on locating New Zealand battle locations in World War 1 using longitude and latitude. Students will require access to an atlas or (more preferably) an online map app, such as Google Maps. Students are provided with the recording sheet and an information card that contains information on three battles New Zealand was involved in, the dates of the battles and the country. Please note - they are not in order on the card! Using the information cards and the coordinates on the recording sheet students then work out which battle took place in which country and when. Includes; recording sheet, information cards, teacher instructions and answer sheet.

2 Digit Addition and Subtraction regrouping and no regrouping Worksheets. An excellent math center activity to allow your students practice and maintenance adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers. The challenge here is working out the digits under the splotches to make the equation correct. When I printed these off at home to proof-read before I knew it my own children were sitting at the kitchen table working them out. Practice, maintenance and mastery of adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers will allow for a smoother transition to 3 digit addition and subtraction. These are worksheets that provide students an opportunity to practice two geometric transformation skills – reflection and resizing (Scale Factor, enlargement).
