There are five excellent resources included to teach the imperfect tense using three skills; reading, writing and listening. The teacher PPT uses a visual step by step guide to the imperfect tense formation. The PPT also goes through irregular formations and when to use the imperfect tense. There is a crossword for a mini-progress check using 3 regular verbs; one for each verb group and also the verb “être”. There are 10 clues to solve. A worksheet is included for this. There is a short passage for pupils to identify the imperfect tense in context. This would be great to use as a modelled example for pupils to reproduce a text of what their life was like when they were younger. There is then an exercise where the pupils decide whether the sentences are in the perfect or imperfect tense.
