This lesson continues the theme of ‘who held the power in Nazi Germany?’ It focuses on the role of the German army and Hitler’s dependence on its support; the conflict with traditional conservatives; and the plan to kill Hitler (the Kreisau Circle). All activities are built into the power point. Students are expected to reach a conclusion on the significance of the army, and how far Hitler could depend on its support.
