Personal hygiene / keeping clean KS1 PSHE lesson. A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 1, however, the activities are also suitable for use in Year 2.
In this lesson, the children will learn about cleanliness and the reasons why we need to wash our hands. We will discuss the role of germs in making us sick and identify how handwashing can slow down, or even stop germs from spreading.
We will read Germs Are Not for Sharing by Elizabeth Verdick and Marieka Heinlen, before completing a set of activities linked to the text.
The lesson includes a case study starter, a story with accompanying questions, a jigsaw activity, a set of worksheets, and a plenary task.

Fit and healthy bodies KS1 PSHE lesson.
A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 1, however, the activities are also suitable for use in Year 2, or even younger students in KS2 (Year 3).
In this lesson, the children will bring together everything they have learned in the preceding weeks about living a healthy lifestyle. We will discuss a full range of factors that play into a healthy lifestyle including but not limited to diet, exercise, hygiene, healthcare, and oral health.

All about medicines KS1 medicine safety PSHE lesson
A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 2, however, the activities may also suit younger students in KS2 (Year 3).

They are used as examples of the difficult conversations that children may have with peers so that they can practice confronting such issues in a respectful manner. Teachers should ensure that the material is presented in this way and use the editable versions to make any changes that they feel are appropriate for their classes.
Photoshopped, Airbrushed and Faked Online Images PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss the different ways that images can be digitally manipulated online. We will learn about deepfake artificial intelligence software and the dangers it poses with regard to the spread of fake news and misinformation. We will take a detailed look at common photo editing techniques including the use of facial filters in applications like Facetune. We will carry out a ‘spot the difference’ activity, to highlight some of the subtle image changes that often go unnoticed. The students will also critically analyse a set of images, where they will look for clues of image manipulation and theorize scenarios where photo editing techniques can become immoral or harmful.
