FRENCH TELLING THE TIME I HAVE, WHO HAS? BUNDLE

FRENCH FOR CHILDREN PRIMARY FRENCH KS2 FRENCH KS3 FRENCH TELLING THE TIME I HAVE, WHO HAS? 3 SETS OF TWO GAMES @ £2.50 EACH IN THE BUNDLE : 6 GAMES AND CHALLENGES, EVERY ANALOGUE CLOCK TIME Files are non-editable in a zipped format. The product is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be amended, copied, rewritten, shared or distributed, in whole or in part, outside your own classroom. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. Please read the Terms of Use. = Set 1: focus on o’clock, half past, quarter to & quarter past the hour = Set 2: focus on 5 & 10 past and 5 & 10 to the hour = Set 3: focus on 20 & 25 past and 20 & 25 to the hour Lively whole-group multi-skill language learning games, ideal for Primary French / KS2 French and KS3 French / KS4 French students. The repetitive nature of the questions and answers, supported by the visual prompt of the clock faces, makes it perfect for practising, reinforcing & refreshing how to tell the time in French, and for pronunciation practice too. There are 8 clock faces per page, and I cut the cards in sets of 2, so four larger cards per page. This means that students can see two clock faces and times per game card, which really helps to consolidate learning. It’s also a lot less prep than cutting out eight individual cards, though I do actually have a set like this, which we use as a larger-size dominoes game. I always laminate my language learning cards - it’s definitely worth the extra prep time and expense, as they’re more learner-friendly, and remain in excellent condition for years. The aim of the game is to arrange the clocks in the relevant order. Students will generally have several cards each, depending on the size of your class. We usually set the cards on a table, so that students can see the timeline clearly. I frequently use a timer when we play. Playing in teams, using either a single challenge, or with both challenges together, is really popular - students find the competitive element really motivating and are genuinely keen to see which team can finish first, and whether they can beat their own time record. The games also work well as pair or small-group games. Each set has two games, each with a different challenge: = Challenge 1: with all the the clock times in numerical order, J’ai… Qui a… ? = Challenge 2: with the all the clock times in random order, which really helps recall and embedding new language, as students often learn time phrases in numerical order, As-tu… ? Oui (Non), j’ai… Have a browse in my store for more French resources, including special offer bundles and freebies. MERCI BEAUCOUP ET BON APPRENTISSAGE !

PRIMARY MATHS TIMES TABLES 1-6 CARDS

(1)
TIMES TABLES MATHS FOR EARLY YEARS PRIMARY MATHS Multiplication tables 1-6 cards, with matching question and answer cards. I've used these in school and for homeschooling too. Children really enjoy sorting out the cards, on a large table (and often on the floor!) and working independently, either alone, in pairs or in small groups. I always give children a reference mat - it's a great way of ensuring everyone can enjoy the games, and lets them check their answers too. I've numbered the question cards, which helps children track their answer when they're looking at the reference mat. My Monster Maths cards are a firm favourite (in French and Spanish too!) with young learners - they find the visual aspect really engaging, which is such an important element to helping them engage with the content happily and with confidence. They are ideal for small-group and intervention work. I always laminate learning cards and reference mats, because they're so much easier to work with - and they last for years! I've uploaded a black and white version too, which can really help to keep costs down. The files are non-editable in a zip file, and are copyright. All rights are reserved. The files can't be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. Please read the Terms of Use carefully. THANKS AND HAVE LOTS OF MONSTER MATHS FUN!

FRENCH NUMBERS 0-100 CHALLENGE CARS & WORD SEARCHES

4 Resources
KS3 FRENCH NUMBERS 0-100 KS4 FRENCH NUMBERS 0-100 GCSE FRENCH NUMBERS 0-100 48 CHALLENGE CARDS AND 100 WORD SEARCHES DIFFERENTIATED WITH ANSWER KEYS @ £3.00 EACH Files are non-editable in a zipped format. The product is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed outside your own in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. School licenses are available. Please read the Terms of Use. French Numbers 0-100 Challenge Cards really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of French numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. They have a multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarise themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling longer words in French. The translation questions are a great way of introducing beginner French learners to the concept of translation too. The cards are useful not only when you’re focusing on***French Numbers 0-100***, but also for cover lessons, as an all-year-round starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity, as the goal is not simply to learn how to count in French, but also to enjoy working with French, and to feel confident about doing so. All questions are in French, and range in complexity and challenge, both in terms of language and number skills. I’ve used visual prompts such as maths symbols to ensure all learners can engage with the questions, and this helps them to begin to infer meaning from context, and to decode cues and prompts to foster understanding. I don’t allow the use of calculators to increase the challenge a little. Some questions focus specifically on French maths language, which students do not always engage with very often. The question card template enables students to apply their knowledge of language and arithmetic creatively and practically, which is integral to successful language learning. My students also genuinely enjoy creating questions for each other. The set comprises the following non-editable files: = 48 differentiated question cards, 6 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Laminate if possible - it’s definitely worth the extra prep time and expense, as they’re more learner-friendly and remain in excellent condition for years. = answer key and recording sheet - I use recording sheets for more formal assessment purposes. My students all have class workbooks, and they use those to work out their answers, and to note them down, saving both prep time and paper. French Numbers 0-100 Word Searches Word searches are a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word, practicing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set features ten differentiated word searches, focusing on French Numbers 0-100, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. The searches offer a really useful learning opportunity - enabling learners to engage with the target vocabulary, but also aligning with cross-curricular learning - working on reading, writing, spelling, numeracy and French language skills in general. Students are able to identify which direction words are located in within the grid by referring to the arrow key. As they move through the grids, their language skills are challenged in a range of ways - from straightforward vocabulary searching, to gap-fill, scrambled letters and more complex questions, which feature mathematical language in French. Hyphens are important in French numbers, and the grids feature these quite clearly, in order to ensure that learners can practise this aspect of language. FRENCH CHALLENGE CARDS BUNDLE #1

15 Resources
PRIMARY FRENCH KS3 FRENCH KS4 FRENCH GCSE FRENCH CHALLENGE CARDS 13 sets of challenge cards @ £3.00 each in the bundle. All files are non-editable in zipped formats. The bundle is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed, in whole or in part, outside your own classroom in any way. The license for purchase is a single-use license only. Please read the Terms of Use carefully. Challenge cards are an ideal language learning activity, providing multi-skill language learning opportunities. These sets are ideal for a range of French language classrooms from KS2 French / Primary French to KS3 French, and at KS4 French, students preparing for GCSE French as practice and revision. This kind of activity really does help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their French language skills in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. The questions have a multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarise themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling in French in general, and on the focus language, for example, conjugating French RE verbs in the present tense in particular. I use task not only when we’re focusing on the focus language and grammar, but also for sub lessons, as an all-year-round starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity. The goal is not simply to learn how French works, and how patterns can be identified and applied, it’s also about enjoying working with French, and to feel confident about doing so. The questions are differentiated, and range in complexity and challenge, with some calling specifically upon prior and new knowledge too, helping students make links and build bridges in their learning. There may be some vocabulary that students are not familiar with - these questions give them the opportunity to learn and apply new language too. Other grammatical concepts are addressed in the questions too, such as gender agreement, direct and indirect objects, personal pronouns and question formats in French. The question card template available in some sets enables students to apply their knowledge practically and creatively, which is an essential element to successful language learning. To get the most from the questions, I frequently look at the multiple-choice questions as a whole-group, identifying not only why there is a single correct response, but what the errors are in the other choices. Identifying errors, and explaining precisely why something is inaccurate or incorrect, helps students to think about language a little more laterally, and ensures that they are thinking concepts through, rather than simply relying on learned responses. All sets have full answer keys and recording sheets. 1: FRENCH NUMBERS 0-21 : 36 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-numbers-0-21-challenge-cards-11843713 2: FRENCH NUMBERS 0-31 : 48 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-numbers-0-31-challenge-cards-11759386 3: FRENCH CHRISTMAS NUMBERS 0-31 : 36 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-christmas-numbers-0-31-challenge-cards-12035663 4: FRENCH NUMBERS 0-100 : 48 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-numbers-0-100-challenge-cards-11741540 5: FRENCH DATES, DAYS, MONTHS, SEASONS : 36 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-dates-days-months-seasons-challenge-cards-11856578 6: FRENCH FRUITS : 36 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-fruits-challenge-cards-12586825 7: FRENCH VEGETABLES : 36 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-vegetables-challenge-cards-12587115 8: FRENCH FRUITS & VEGETABLES : 36 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-fruits-and-vegetables-challenge-cards-12587126 9: FRENCH TELLING THE TIME O’CLOCK & HALF PAST THE HOUR : 60 CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-telling-time-challenge-cards-1-12833553 10: FRENCH TELLING THE TIME QUARTER TO & QUARTER PAST THE HOUR : 60 CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-telling-time-challenge-cards-2-12833561 11: FRENCH TELLING TIME RANGE OF ANALOGUE CLOCK TIMES : 60 CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-telling-time-challenge-cards-3-12833565 12: FRENCH ER VERBS PRESENT TENSE : 48 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-er-verbs-present-tense-challenge-cards-12641881 13: FRENCH RE VERBS PRESENT TENSE : 48 DIFFERENTIATED CHALLENGE CARDS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-re-verbs-present-tense-challenge-cards-12646092 Have a browse in my store for more French resources, including special offer bundles and freebies. FRENCH NUMBERS 0-100 CHALLENGE CARDS FREEBIE

(6)
KS3 FRENCH KS4 FRENCH NUMBERS 0-100 This is a free set of 12 French Numbers 0-100 Challenge Cards with answer key and recording sheet. You will be able to use them together with the full set, as these are marked with letters, rather than numbered. The full set description is as follows: French Numbers 0-100 Challenge Cards really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of French numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarize themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling longer words in French. The translation questions are a great way of introducing beginner French learners to the concept of translation too. All questions are in French, and range in complexity and challenge, both in terms of language and number skills. I’ve used visual prompts and clues such as maths symbols to ensure all learners can engage with the questions, and this helps them to begin to***infer meaning from context***, and to decode cues and prompts to foster understanding. I don’t always allow the use of calculators to increase the challenge a little. Some questions focus specifically on French maths language, which students do not always engage with very often. The question card template enables students to apply their knowledge of language and arithmetic creatively and practically too. Revisit frequently for successful consolidation and learning. This freebie set comprises the following 3 files: 12 differentiated question cards, 6 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Laminate if possible - they’re far more learner-friendly and last for absolutely years! 2-page answer recording sheet, best printed double-sided. I don’t always use a recording sheet - my students all have class workbooks, and they use those to work out their answers, and to note them down 2-page answer key, again best printed double-sided, and laminated for longevity. Answer keys are essential in my view - they create a more independent learning ethos in the classroom, and offer students and additional opportunity to engage with language. The product is free to download, but Terms of Use still apply. I encourage my beginner Italian students of all ages and stages to build up comprehensive vocabulary banks that they can reference easily whenever they need it, and they’re also really useful for regular vocabulary audits, which really helps students map their progress and keep track of their learning. Students take responsibility for organising their own learning materials from the very beginning of their learning, keeping them carefully in vocabulary learning files or folders. My students all have reference resource binders or files - these can have a range of formats - for instance, sticking into a large exercise book, or punching holes down the left-hand side, and adding to files. We also use twine or thick string, which young Italian learners really enjoy making. I also use this kind of vocabulary list for quick vocabulary quizzes, spelling competitions and so on, and it also works well laminated for small-group work in class time. The font size is fairly large, as ensuring that language is clear and accessible is essential for beginner language learners, as they begin to familiarize themselves with words and spelling systems in a new language. I have also uploaded a number reference sheet I give my more experienced Italian learners - it’s in landscape format, with all the numbers on a single sheet, so the font size is smaller - students who’ve been learning Italian for a while are comfortable with quite a lot of text on a single page. Have a look at it here: ITALIAN NUMBERS 0-100 LIST FREEBIE #2 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/italian-numbers-0-100-list-freebie-2-12439282 There are two backgrounds to choose from - Italian flag, which I generally use for Italian vocabulary display, and plain. My students find these freebie Italian Numbers 0-100 recall worksheets really helpful for vocabulary recall and spelling: ITALIAN NUMBERS 0-100 WORKSHEETS FREEBIE #1 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/italian-numbers-0-100-worksheets-freebie-1-12976629 Have a browse in my store for more freebie Italian vocabulary lists, including a selection of visual vocabulary lists for very young learners, and a wide range of other Italian teaching and learning materials, with Italian resource boxes, special offer bundles, and lots of freebies.
