This is a journey planner organisational chart which can be used for SEN students who require Travel Training sessions. Entry Level 1 to Level 2 students. It includes what the students need to consider in regards to planning travel on buses, taxis and the Metro (or Tubes/Trams). I use this in my Travel Training sessions, so students can independently plan a journey on public transport, learning valuable transferable skills.

This resource is a scenario where students can plan a trip to their local Odeon cinema. You just need to add the appropriate info (street names etc.) for your local area! It gives advice to students of things they need to consider when planning their journey. It also encourages budgeting skills.

This is a resource I use with students that require Travel Training sessions. This is a fun activity to do with students as a break from regular Travel Training sessions. Students can complete a photography scavenger hunt, where they have to practice their road safety skills whilst walking around their local area, taking photographs of a variety of things, such as a round-a-bout or zebra crossing. Perfect for Entry Level 3 and Level 1 students, including SEN students. This resource can be used for students that require Rarpa (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement); it is linked to the PfA (Preparing for Adulthood) goals/target - Employment Skills. Where students get to choose which employment goal they would like and then state how they can work towards this, either in lessons or in tutorial.

ICT tutors can use the evidence assessment sheets to state what evidence is provided in the students portfolios, when students have demonstrated practical IT skills or completed paperwork for their EDSQ course. I use this resource for CEIAG (Careers Education Information Advice & Guidance) sessions for Media Studies sessions. (It could be adapted to suit your subject area). It recaps the 5 different media sectors and the students can then choose a media sector to research a career they may be interested in, to discover what skills, qualities and qualifications are needed. Suitable for Entry Level 3+ students. I use this PowerPoint with the accompanying worksheet. The slides also demonstrates how what the students have been doing/learning in sessions is relevant to a potential career in media.

A Year Plan for the Arts Award (Bronze) for 2023/2024. It has a Graphic Design project based theme. I like to create a year plan first, to plan my year out before completing my Scheme of Learning (I like how you can see the whole year on one page) The Year Plan can be put at the front of each students’ folder and the student can see where they’re up to too, ideal for SEN students who like to know what’s coming next! This Arts Award Year Plan is for the academic year 2023-2024 and is easily adapted to suit your curriculum needs. Suitable for Entry Level+ students.

There is also an accompanying evidence sheet, where students can then provide photographic evidence for the goal.

It could also be used as a quick assessment after completing lessons related to computer abbreviations. Ideal for students Entry Level 3+ Students are to name the common ICT abbreviations.
