Electrolysis Bundle

2 Resources
Includes a worksheet on how to predict the products of electrolysis, a worksheet on how to write half-equations, and a summary sheet for C6 (AQA) - this could easily be used or adapted for other exam boards.
Chemical Formulae Worksheet

Chemical Formulae Worksheet

(0)
Worksheet created for a Y7 lesson on writing/interpreting chemical formulae. The formatting and subscript lettering is the same as on the main preview image, not on the other previews as TES messes these up for some reason!

Elements/Purity/Separating Mixtures Homework/Revision Worksheet with Answers

(1)
A worksheet (with answers) I made to give my Y7 class at the end of their Elements topic. Would also work well with AQA( Kerboodle) Activate 1 Matter 1 topic. Includes elements (their names and symbols), elements/compounds/mixtures, pure/impure substances & heating/cooling curves, dissolving/solubility, filtration & distillation, naming compounds & chemical formulae.

Periodic Table Workbook (Revision/Independent Learning/Classroom Use)

(0)
I created this workbook for my students when studying periodic table (modern periodic table, history of the periodic table, group 1, transition metals, group 7 including displacement reactions, group 0). I have tried to include concise, clear notes for students to refer to, and some practice questions. There is a section for students to write down key definitions (most of these are indicated clearly within the text). I hope it is useful for you!

Cells Revision Summary Sheet/Research Task

(0)
Summary sheet created for the end of a Y7 unit on Cells, but could work as a refresher for up to GCSE level. Students could complete this from memory, using laptops/textbooks, or as a homework task. Differentiated with 1 more structured/scaffolded sheet and 1 more open-ended. Also includes a slide with suggested answers for students to self-mark and correct.
Rock Cycle Differentiated Remote Learning Tasks

Rock Cycle Differentiated Remote Learning Tasks

(0)
3 tasks I set my Y7 and Y8 students for remote learning about the Rock Cycle. The students all drew the diagram of the rock cycle in their book. Higher ability annotated it with the clues AND added extra detail via the stretch questions, middle ability annotated without the stretch questions. I have included my attempt/modelling, which I attached to assist students with this task. Low ability drew a simpler diagram and copied & completed a gap fill (very low reading ages - some pre-reception). High and mid ability then wrote a story/created a storyboard to describe the journey of a piece of rock at point 1, all the way through the cycle to point 12. This was followed by a Kahoot challenge and an educake quiz. Rock Cycle Remote Learning 1 - higher ability Rock Cycle Remote Learning 2 - middle ability Rock Cycle Remote Learning 3 - lower ability I have attached them as both PPT and PDF in case students have difficulty opening PPT at home.
Calculating Relative Atomic Mass - Lesson

Calculating Relative Atomic Mass - Lesson

(0)
Basic lesson on calcluating relative atomic mass (Ar) for AQA GCSE Chemistry/Combined Science Quantitative Chemistry (Calculations) unit. I have not included correcting answers to the right amount of significant figures on slide 8 as I know some people may not want to discuss this yet, you can change them to the correct number of SF if you wish.

Atomic Structure Workbook (Revision/Independent Learning/Classroom Use)

(1)
I created this workbook for my students when studying atomic structure (atoms, symbols, electronic structure/configuration, isotopes, relative atomic mass, history of the atom/atomic models, alpha scattering experiment, ions). I have tried to include concise, clear notes for students to refer to, and lots of practice questions. There is a section for students to write down key definitions (most of these are indicated clearly within the text). A revision sheet that goes with the booklet is also included. I hope they are useful for you!
