This application allows pupils to practice basic number operations through a series of easy to use mental maths operations. There are exercises on three levels; beginner, intermediate and expert, covering the four basic number operations together with exercises on multiplication and division by powers of 10. Each test asks ten questions on the selected topic and the pupil is provided with instant feedback as each answer is submitted. The pupil’s mark is recorded in the database to allow progress to be monitored. A traffic light form allows easy monitoring of pupil’s progress.
This resource gives pupils the opportunity to identify and investigate 2D and 3D shapes in the context of a Welsh castle including sorting according to properties of shapes.
This is a simple open ended shape and space investigation focussing on the formula for the perimeter of a shape. This is an ideal unit to introduce younger KS2 children to maths investigation skills as the patterns are simple to spot. The unit can be used to assess AT1 or as a KS2/3 transition project.
This interactive resource provides practice in converting units e.g from cm to m. The first part is a question that can be used to explore conversions and the second part is a quiz.

This interactive activity aims to encourage pupils to learn number bonds to 10. They will play a pairs game using both numerals and picture prompts. They will then go on to develop problem-solving skills with simple word problems using number facts to 10.
