A visual unit that can be used to promote thinking and encourage group discussion about the properties of polygons. Pupils can use the information provided to accurately draw diagrams to represent equilateral, isosceles, right-angled and scalene triangles along with many regular quadrilaterals.
The activity consists of information sheets, an interctive whiteboard activity and worksheets on polygons, trianlgles and quadrilaterals.

This application allows pupils to practice basic number operations through a series of easy to use mental maths operations. There are exercises on three levels; beginner, intermediate and expert, covering the four basic number operations together with exercises on multiplication and division by powers of 10. Each test asks ten questions on the selected topic and the pupil is provided with instant feedback as each answer is submitted. The pupil’s mark is recorded in the database to allow progress to be monitored. A traffic light form allows easy monitoring of pupil’s progress.
This lesson introduces pupils to shapes and patterns. There are a series of interactive activities, all of which test pupils' ability to place shapes in a particular order. They will also create multi-coloured objects, one side at a time. The lesson can be simulated in the classroom using plastic building blocks.
Packaging is a series of Powerpoints that form a Unit of Work that supports the teaching of Design, in particular Packaging. Packaging is aimed at developing the skills needed to understand the process of Packaging and how to design a suitable product that fits the needs of the consumer. The aim is for the pupils to study the process of packaging, use 3D shapes from nets, develop their own ideas and design a cereal packet. An interactive whiteboard activity that explores the properties of 3-D shapes, by classifying them according to the number of faces, edges or vertices.
This resource uses ACTIVStudio software and online activities and has 3 sections. The first covering general problem solving, and includes an online multichoice questionnaire where pupils can enter their name, and print off their scores.
Multiplication and division is covered in the second section including learning tables with extension material looking at inverse operations.
Finally, addition and subtraction looks at number bonds to 10 and 20.
