Playing a Glockenspiel Unit 1

Suitable for pupils in Years 5 and 6
These units are not mac-friendly.
You don’t have to have a musical background to teach your class how to play musical instruments!
This unit of 16 practical music lessons, teaches pupils how to play and perform, using glockenspiels.
Pupils learn;
• How to play the glockenspiel correctly
• How to read and play a variety of tunes and songs using a lettered score
• How to perform in two, three and four parts
• About the percussion family, tuned and untuned instruments and a range of musical terms and signs
