Isometric Drawing

(34)
Pupils learn about plan, front and side elevations and how to draw objects on isometric paper. The worksheet has an investigation into making objects with 5 cubes, as well as some challenging questions on building objects based on their elevations, with as few cubes as possible. Please note that the questions in Section B and the 'impossible shapes to make' are not my own and have been taken from other sheets found online. I have also included a word document of isometric paper for 'emergency' use :) If you liked this resource then please check out my other resources on TES! https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?authorId=2095097

Math Core 4 - Set of Lesson Powerpoints

(2)
This set of powerpoints go with the Edexcel textbooks and cover the entire Core 4 course from start to finish. Pupils can use these for revision or you can use them to deliver lessons! The worksheets can be used as end of chapter tests or as a basis for starting revision. If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here! :)\nEDIT 9/6/14: Added Mark Schemes to the worksheets!
Changing the subject
Owen134866Owen134866

Changing the subject

(7)
These two powerpoints go through the basics of changing the subject of an equation or formula. The first includes just simple linear rearrangement, and the second includes example of factorising and dealing with roots and fractions. Nothing especially exciting, just trying to be as clear as possible! If you liked this resource, then please check out my other stuff on TES! https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/Owen134866
Algebraic Areas
Owen134866Owen134866

Algebraic Areas

(4)
Pupils get shown several shapes which are to be represented by letters. They then have to state the areas of some compound shapes algebraically, which are made up of the original ones. If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here! :)
Volume and Surface Area of a Sphere
Owen134866Owen134866

Volume and Surface Area of a Sphere

(19)
Pupils learn to calculate the volume and surface area of spheres using the relevant formulae. There is a selection of harder questions to challenge the more able on the sheet. In the powerpoint is a link to a demonstration of the formula (not involving calculus as students studying this topic most likely will not have encountered this yet!). The video is NOT my own work - credit goes to mathematicsonline for that! If you liked this resource then please check out my other stuff on here! :)
Scatter Graphs
Owen134866Owen134866

Scatter Graphs

(1)
Powerpoint and worksheet on plotting Scatter Graphs, identifying correlation and using lines of best fit. The data on the sheet has come from somewhere else but I'm not sure exactly where from! You will need to write over some of the slides... If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here!
A-level Core Pure Mathematics Year 1/AS

A-level Core Pure Mathematics Year 1/AS

(65)
This set of 9 powerpoints have been designed to match the Edexcel Core Pure Mathematics Year 1/AS textbook (for Further Maths), and have largely been adapted from my previous A-level resources. Every chapter is covered, and within are explanations that could be used to teach lessons or be shared with students via a digital classroom. There are also some Autograph files included - the hyperlinks in the presentations should work if these are placed in the same folder as the powerpoints themselves! If you liked this resource, then please check out my other resources on TES! https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/Owen134866

Owen134866Owen134866

Math Further Pure 2 - Set of lesson powerpoints

(1)
Powerpoints and worksheets (good as unit tests) for the entire FP2 course, in a similar style to my other A-level stuff. Made for the Edexcel Pearson books but can probably be adapted for other courses. There is a simple geogebra file that goes with the Further Complex numbers PPT, but you'll have to edit the hyperlink! If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here (There is a lot of A-level work!) :)
Matrix Transformations
Owen134866Owen134866

Matrix Transformations

(5)
These lessons are designed to go with the IGCSE course and the CIE Extended textbook. The first shows pupils how to transform a shape by multiplying its coordinates by a Matrix, and pupils should experiment to see if they can find any specific transformations. The second lesson, pupils are shown how to work out a specific transformation. These follow on from my other resource on Matrix Algebra (also on TES). If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff! :)
Linear Programming
Owen134866Owen134866

Linear Programming

(9)
2 powerpoints to help with the teaching of Linear programming. They contain starters, main activities and plenaries, and have been made to go with the Cambridge IGCSE course and textbook. Of course they could be adapted though! If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here! :)
Functions
Owen134866Owen134866

Functions

(22)
These 4 powerpoints have been made for the Cambridge IGCSE course and cover the section on functions. Pupils learn about function notation and what it means, and see how to approach problems involving composite and inverse functions. The textbook has the relevant exercises! If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here! :)
Inequality Graphs
Owen134866Owen134866

Inequality Graphs

(143)
2 Lessons, one on drawing graphs to show regions that satisfy 1 or more Inequalities. The second is in reverse, being given a region and identifying which Inequalities satisfy it. Includes sheets that go with the lessons. The pupils will need to have covered the equation of a straight line in order to do lesson 2. If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here!
Faces, Edges and Vertices
Owen134866Owen134866

Faces, Edges and Vertices

(54)
Powerpoint and worksheet where pupils try to find the pattern in the number of Faces, Edges and Vertices that 3D shapes have. If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here!
Graph transformation by substitution
Owen134866Owen134866

Graph transformation by substitution

(14)
Pupils become familiar with the f(x) notation and what some of the transformations actually mean in terms of the function itself. They then change a function based on the transformation and plot the corresponding values so they can see its effect. There is most likely several lessons of work here and it is broken into separate sections. If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here! :)
Plotting Cubic Graphs
Owen134866Owen134866

Plotting Cubic Graphs

(8)
These 2 Powerpoints have been made to go with the Oxford CIE IGCSE extended textbook, but could probably be adapted quite easily. It is basically introductory lessons on plotting, spotting the general shape of, and using Cubic graphs. Prerequisite knowledge is that of plotting graphs generally (including Quadratics). If you like this resource then please check out my other stuff on here! :)
