Created to align with Read, Write, Inc grey level storybooks, this resource includes an independent phonics task and comprehension task for books 1-13. Phonics tasks require children to find words with the focus sounds for the book before they create their own sentences using the words they found. Comprehension tasks focus primarily on retrieval skills, developing children’s ability to find and copy information from the text in order to answer written questions. These questions are different to the ones found at the end of the storybook. Presented 2-to-a-page, these 9cm x 14cm task sheets will fit in any exercise book. NTF Print font is used but please do ask if you would like an alternative font!

These lines are divided into two stripes - yellow and white - as a visual prompt to help children recognise where tall and small letters should be on the line. With 8mm spaced lines and a margin, these lines replicate the pages of many school exercise books. As a digital file, the lines can be adjusted to create wider spaced lines and the margin can be adjusted or even removed.
