Student Progress monitoring booklet Core Biology (B1 AQA)

(0)
A list of the various objectives for each of the topics in the B1 AQA Core Science Unit. Students can show progress against what they know about a topic at the start and then at the end of a unit. This can then be used to produce a personalised revision programme for the student. Alternative way of being used, is to print on stickers and use in books. Topics covered include food, diet, nerves, reflexes, neurones etc.

The idea works that students should know the foundation building blocks around the edge of the page. The task therefore is to work inwards and begin to summarise these key points in the middle, only focusing on the things they have forgotten. The final task is to get this all on to a postcard - their revision notes to take away! This makes it all manageable for the student. This is one topic only and the full unit can be downloaded as a complete file.

Cells loop card activity - parts of the cell, tissues,

(0)
The loop cards can be used as tool for assessment of prior learning, progress and revision. Students need to match the question on one card with the answer on another card, like dominoes. The answer sheet is given at the end of the document. This is good to do a pace and challenge activity.

Due to a number of requests these are some more assessment papers for additional biology, chemistry and physics. These are 3 60 minute assessments that are made up of new questions from the additional science programme of study. These help students with revision and preparation for examination. Really good when students have done all of the past papers already. These are DIFFERENT to the predicted papers that are available separately.
