Spanish KS3 GCSE holidays preterite past tense las vacaciones preterite reading writing

(0)
A stand alone lesson to introduce the topic of holidays using some key past tense verbs. The resources (a PowerPoint and Worksheet) will guide pupils to be able to talk about their holidays in the past tense by the end of the lesson. The key verbs are introduced and pupils do activities to recognise and memorise these. These are then used in a reading so pupils can start to see how they work. Pupils are then introduced to the rules for -AR verb conjugation and have an opportunity to practise key verbs for the topic, with all subject pronouns. The plenary brings all of this together by asking pupils to write/ say a paragraph based on the visual information on a slide. They can then use this as a model for their own work. There is also a plenary reading comprehension task with a gap-fill activity and this can then be used by pupils to model their own answer on.
