I created this quiz for the children when they got back from the EXCELLENT exhibit at Bolton Museum. The questions were obviously pre-prepared and prompts given during the trip activities for a 'memory challenge' when they returned!
In PowerPoint (Windows) AND Keynote (Mac) format
I am delighted to offer a unique and fully editable version of ‘countdown’ in PowerPoint format with theme music, timer, cards that flip etc. Just change the numbers to suit your students. This took a lot of time to make initially in Keynote (Mac) format and I have successfully converted it into PowerPoint.
Great as a starter in Numeracy Lessons.
Different formats added!
1st Feb 2017 due to comments, PowerPoint formats should be able to use and edit fully now, please email me on daveorritt@mac.com if you cannot access the effects, it may just need a setting changing on your PowerPoint program.
Set of resources to support the use of the song ‘Be a Man’ from Mulan the popular Disney film for use in a Poetry topic.
The verse can be used to identify number of syllables in poetry and the children can then invent their own similes to fit!
I have included some additional worksheets and ideas to help with this. (Obviously work some before.)
To identify syllabic patterns after initial work in this area I have always found this useful. Its a fantastic song and very catchy, in the past I have also had children invent their own song and perform in assembly with great success!
I have included the actual clip featuring this music, as a very short edited video section but do not claim to own the rights to this.
I have included a weekly / unit plan here as an extra with this lesson included, please see my other resource ‘Poems that Create Similes & Metaphors’ for more.

Online quizzes on www.facebook.com/c/quizinators
This pack includes
Movies Picture Round with 12 questions
Questions 1-4: Name the actor pictured on the Hollywood walk of fame Questions 5-8: Name the film from the costume
Questions 9-12: Name the film from the cryptic clue
33 carefully researched movie themed questions (including picture round it is a 45 question quiz.)
Blank 45 question template to print out and write on (if required.)
The questions selection is done for you, because each quiz starts easy and gets more difficult towards the end, pitched at the average quizzer, retaining an element of fun. More questions within this quiz are multiple choice for this reason, but to add a further level of difficulty the multiple choice element can merely be excluded whilst questioning.
Perfect for a standard, or online quiz for adults.
Questions 13 - 20: Easier questions designed to give your teams some confidence and even raise some laughs.
Questions 21 - 30: Medium difficulty questions
Questions 31-35: Name the film from the named ‘movie twist.’
Questions 36 - 40: Harder questions which teams will find much more challenging.
Questions 41 - 45: ‘The Wipeout Round’ or ‘Double or Quits’. It is suggested that in this section, you inform teams that each question is worth 2 points, however if one question is answered incorrectly the team ‘wipes-out’ and scores no points for the round, questions can however be missed out with no penalty (just receiving no points for that particular question.)
One example of a question in this resource is…
In the film ‘Cool Runnings’ in what country do they compete as a bob-sleigh team in the 1988 Olympics: Canada, Norway or France?

All quizzes have been tried and tested in real life quizzes beforehand.
A range of worksheets I designed for children to find out about the best selling toys in the last 50 years and how they have changed over time. I have also included the Keynote I used in quicktime format so it will work on your PC. Please note this is a few years old so 'project natal&' is now obviously &';kinect' a good discussion point! \nOne of the activities the children had to do was to identify key selling points of toys and which market they were aimed at, this was wonderful to see their responses.

I have bullet pointed a few ideas I had to use iMovie in the classroom. Although these were written with a mac in use, many of the ideas could be used with iMovie on the iPad or a similar video editing program. Please leave a comment if you find this useful.
