The lesson includes which substances are taken in by the body and which are excreted, a recap on diffusion, how exchange surfaces are adapted to increase the rate of diffusion, Surface Area: Volume ratio, alveoli and a recap on root hair cells. There is one task near the end of the lesson which requires the use of the ActiveTeach worksheets but could easily be missed out or swapped for other available worksheets.

Write up booklet intended for use with the CB3 core practical about DNA extraction from the new Edexcel Science GCSE (9-1) Includes the method, simple write up questions, evaluation questions and exam style questions about DNA and the practical. Intended to be printed on A3 paper, two sheets per page and then folded in half (so that the blank page becomes the back page, perfect for sticking into exercise books).

CB6b lesson from the new Edexcel Science GCSE (9-1) about factors that affect photosynthesis. Including what a limiting factor is, examples of limiting factors, limiting factor graphs and inverse square law.

A series of worksheets designed for a use on/after a sampling fieldtrip. Originally designed for sixth form Biology but several aspects could be used for a GCSE fieldtrip. Worksheet 1: Ecological concepts- Explains populations, communities, abiotic and biotic factors and asks them to comment on different factors at the sample site.
