This resource contains the PPTs (worksheets etc on ppts) I use for my first 9 lessons on Germany between 1918-1924. This follows the AQA approved Textbook published by Oxford University Press. They are very thorough and provide comprehensive contextual detail that have helped students access the texts in the book. These are put on my school's VLE for students to reflect on at a later date. This is also great if notes are not finished or a student is absent. Pictures, graphs, statistics etc also provided on the ppts. This should save you hours of planning time.

This resource contains eight quiz cards for the AQA Democracy and Nazism course which cover the State and society 1933-1939 sections. Topics these quizzes cover are the terror state, the economy, youth, women and opposition. I cut these out stick back to back and laminate. I them display them in the classroom so students can access them. They are also put on the sixth form VLE. These have contributed to outstanding results and student's recall of knowledge has dramatically improved.

A list of 40 essay questions for the AS study of AQA Democracy and Nazism. These are non-sources questions. Great to put on a VLE for students to work through in their own time. Also excellent to focus analysis during revision.

Included in this resource is a one page summary of the causes of the American Civil War and an activity sheet. This divides the causes up into economic, social and political causes. The economic causes has been done for them as we studied this earlier in the year. This can also be adapted easily for long-term and short-term causes. The presentation has an activity on it that is liked by my students - significance circles. This helps them form a judgement on the significance of each cause.

This resource was created for a ‘turbo’ revision lesson with GCSE pupils. It has structured answers with example paragraphs and a detailed simplified timeline of Reconstruction in 4 distinct periods. Pupils found this very useful. There are two 10 mark questions (explain why America expanded and why the Civil War started) and an essay question on Reconstruction. This worked well and was designed to be done in an hour.

There are two exam questions focusing on early settlers, including the Mormons and gold miners. Pupils worked well with the resource. Knowledge tests for crime and punishment which can be printed and backed so pupils turn over to see answers. Presented well and popular with my pupils. Influenced by research that has proven frequent low-stakes knowledge tests significantly improve subject knowledge. I have these backed and laminated on a 'GCSE Hub' display that pupils can access when they have finished classwork or those in my tutor studying history use them in tutor time as a revision strategy.

This enquiry requires students to research whether there was a genuine Socialist threat in Italy between 1919-1921. You will need access to the Hinton book on Fascist Italy, however I have provided detailed teacher notes which could be easily converted into information sheets.

These are thorough revision booklets for AS and A-Level students that have been highly recommended in the past with four 5* ratings. This resource contains precise knowledge for each of the five protests you have to study for the OCR SHP Paper 2 - Luddites, Tolpuddle Martyrs, Rebecca Riots, Match Girls Strike and the Suffragists/Suffragettes. This knowledge is thorough and categorised into causes, methods, key events, authorities reaction and outcomes. The Suffragettes knowledge is presented on a timeline as I have found this the easiest way to demonstrate the changes in the methods of the protest.

A display to help pupils and students think about what it is historians actually do. It also helps pupils to get in the right mindset to approach studying history.

(may take a minute or so to download because of videos) Lesson setting an enquiry as to why Bomber Command have only been dedicated a memorial in 2012. Students have to make a judgement as to whether a memorial should have been built. They compare sources and historians opinions. Videos and images included. A starter activity that can immediately show relevance to the pupils as to why they are studying an invasion that took place nearly 1000 years ago. The powerpoint looks at the Norman invasion impact on language and also makes a suggestion as to where the Three Lions emblem comes from.

Consolidation exercise after studying the rise in popularity of the Fascists 1918-21. Pupils create their own significance pizza. Each slice represents a key factor then the ingredients represent key detail, evidence and historians views. Fun exercise that brings knowledge and understanding together.
