'The Jinx the life and deaths of Robert Durst
A detailed and comprehensive SOW focusing on: context, genre and media language for A Level Eduqas Media Studies component 2 section A. All elements of the theoretical framework are covered and homework tasks are planned. This scheme also makes use of the feature film All Good Things and SAMS material.
This is a small scheme off work for first year A Level media students. This is a 4/5 lesson introduction to textual analysis skills and some A Level theory from the theoretical framework (Barthes and Strauss). Can be adapted to use any print based media product and can be used to help develop skills of textual analysis.
A small scheme (approx 2 weeks or 9 lessons) of REVISION lessons based on key characters and themes and the AQA GCSE English Literature specification, but adaptable for any teaching! Makes use of SAMS material and mark schemes from the AQA website.

Approximately 3-5 lessons on nature poetry which is a subtle introduction to 'the Romantics' - this works well as a step into AQA GCSE poetry! Included are analysis and creative tasks aimed at higher ability year 8 but could be done with any KS3 class. Enjoy!
This is a half term (approx 4/5 weeks) scheme of work which introduces the concept of media studies and media representations, some key terminology from the theoretical framework and media theory. There is reference to some of the set products but also wider media products are used to develop unseen analysis skills. The scheme begins to build textual analysis skills and focuses on an exam based question from the SAMS material.
This is a range of revision activities based on Power and Conflict poetry, including:
A fun and interactive revision quiz, practice questions, revision of key quotes from each of the set poems
and TOP TIPS for approaching the AQA English Literature exam including the unseen poetry. Can be used for whole class revision or as a classroom display.
