This is a full lesson resource based on an 80 min lesson but could be changed based on your class. It has an ordering decimal starter followed by the learning objective slide. The main starter is a rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 practice questions. This is followed by examples of rounding and a slide with notes and examples to be written into books. There are some differentiated questions and a qwizdom activity, the qwizdom could be done on whiteboards if you don't have the remotes in your school. The plenary is an exit ticket, there is a word document to print these out.

My lessons are based on 80 minutes but could be altered to suit the length of your classes. This is a full lesson based on 80 mins but you could alter it for your own lessons. It starts with a finding the perimeter activity which they should be able to do and will need for when you move onto the extra practice qwizdom. There is then a learning objectives slide followed by a match up activity which looks at the language of algebra and how to express information. This is followed by examples that get slowly more difficult before moving onto a notes slide that they can copy into books. There are then some differentiated questions to try. The extra practice activity is a multiple choice qwizdom that links perimeter of shapes with simplifying algebra as this is often seen in exam questions. The plenary is an exit ticket, there is a word document so you can just print those off.

This is a maths Vegas style activity for angles. All the instructions are on the first 2 pages of the PowerPoint. It covers angles around a point, on a straight line, opposite angles and angles in a triangle .

This is a full lesson including work sheet for the starter and problem solving activity at the end. It is fully differentiated and there are full answers for the independent task.

A full lesson going through how to plot lines that a parallel to the axis or x = y or x = -y It also involves discussion about how to tell if a co-ordinate lies on a line or not.

This lesson is slightly different to the others as the content in the middle has two sections you can either do both or select what you need. The first is ordering decimals and the second is adding and subtracting decimals. Both come with examples, notes for in books and then differentiated questions. The extra practice activity for this lesson is the shopping list activity from the addition and subtraction lesson followed by a worded question plenary

This is an 80 min lesson focusing on changing between fractions decimals and percentages, the length could easily be changed for your classes. It has been created with a lower ability class in mind so you may need to add a few slightly harder questions to the treasure hunt. The settling starter is dividing by 100 followed by the learning objective slide. There is then a shading fractions starter and some examples of how to change between FDP, these start with a pictorial representation and move onto just using a table to help. There are the notes to copy into books and differentiated questions - I have included a word document of grid templates should students need them. The extra practice is a treasure hunt finding the smallest out of a set of 3, there is an example of this first. The exit ticket is an ordering activity and there is a word document available to print that out.

This is a full lesson plan that has been planned originally for an 80 minute lesson however could be easily adapted to suit shorter lessons. It has a settling starter that helps students start to think of what numbers they can multiply to get the answers given. The learning objective slide includes key words and the grade. There is then a starter to recap prime numbers. The main part of the lesson includes three examples and notes to be copied in books with differentiated questions. There's and additional bingo activity for any students struggling to write the answers in index form. The final part of the lesson is an exit ticket style plenary which there is also a word document for that can be printed to hand out.

This is followed by the learning objectives and the starter which is adding fractions from last lesson. This follows onto the examples which have a slide that includes notes to be put into books. There are a set of differentiated questions and the extra practice is a bingo activity followed by and exit ticket plenary. There is a word document to print out the exit tickets

This is a full lesson about odd and even numbers is it set up very similar to my other lessons but there is more in there for the students to complete as it is quite a quick subject. It goes through identifying odd and even numbers to arranging cards to find the numbers requested like they appear in exam questions. The settling starter is a division activity followed by the learning objective. The main starter for the lesson is a place value activity to recap from previous lessons. There are then some examples of odd and even numbers followed by the note to put in books this is followed by an activity where students have to hold up odd and even cards (These cards can be printed out - print 2 sided then laminate). This is followed by the differentiated questions and an investigation task. Finally the plenary is an exam question style exit ticket.

This lesson includes a settler to get students started as soon as they enter the room. A starter checking understanding of factors and multiple. It then moves onto Highest Common Factor HCF and Lowest Common Multiple LCM, including a clear example and steps to success that they can put into their books. There are examples with differentiated questions and answers. There is then a card sort activity for anyone who needs more practice. Ending with exam style challenge questions in the plenary. All the slides are animated so that you can just click and it will go through everything, answers appear one at a time so you can get answers from specific students. It is planned with an hour and 20 min lesson in mind but you can remove parts of the activities if you need it shorter.
