I created these sheets with the Year 6 Reading Buddies in my school- so they had a focus of what to write when listening to children read. So it wasn’t always just ‘Well done’ or ‘Good Reading’ It gave them an area of focus. Then some parents asked if they could have it to use at home when they are listening to children read and said it has been helpful. The first sheet is a table to record on and second sheet is a grid to help with comments to write to asses the child’s reading

I use this sheet with my class. Sometimes they have one each. Sometimes we print it A3 and stick at front of room It really helps them think about the purpose of their writing and who they are writing for- who is the audience

My class have been doing the book ‘How to train your dragon’ and a topic on Vikings- Years 4, 5 and 6. To link to this in maths we did these word problems Includes- 3 levels for addition- developing, expcted, greater depth and 3 levels for subtraction- developing, expcted, greater depth The subtraction have some multi step problems included- addition and subtraction

I created these checklist cards as English Coordinator to help embed grammar throughout the school. The children can use them to assess when they have done a piece of writing. I used both the national curriculum and Pie Corbett's progression in writing to put these together. They are very visual and give examples. This is the year 5 one. Here is a class contract that I always use with my KS2 classes at the start of the new academic year in September. It can also be done on a transition day in July. It has all the headings to fill in with your class. I have filled them in with the popular answers my classes typically give and you can edit and change as needed once downloaded. But its good to generate the ideas together for each section and fill them in front of the class. There is space at the bottom to get all members of the class to sign it and it can be mounted and displayed in the classroom and you can refer back to it throughout the year if needed.

Here are 6 different tasks I made. They are reasoning problems all based on some of the old Nrich maths problems for more able children upper KS2- but all altered and with a Christmas theme. North Pole Diner Christmas Animal Crackers Pack includes all 6 of the reasoning problems/tasks on easy to print/laminate individual sheets and all answers. This is a fun activity that keeps the learning going until Christmas and my class are loving these. I may well make some more (if I have time!)

We have been doing the class book 'Skellig' in English and Multiplication in Maths. I linked the 2 together so here are 4 different levels all with answers. Super- is 4 digit by 1 WoW! is 2 x 2 Fabulous is 4 digit x 2 Marvellous is just word problems that require 4 x 2

I used this for my mixed year 5/6 class to assess the first week of place value. I chop them up and stick in books- then the child will tick which statements they think they can do in the first column and I tick the second column. There is also a space for next steps. My class found it useful.

I made this Christmas powerpoint to use for the last 8 days of term. It will be the early morning work but all with a seasonal twist. I have a mixed year 4/5 class It includes: boggles- (find as many words as you can) Anagrams Short story writing Descriptive writing Discussing views and more! Hope others find it useful and festive. This is a great introductory P.E lesson. It is a classroom based lesson setting the ground rules for the years P.E lessons. It goes over rules, importance of kit etc.. The main activity is active and creative. I have used this lesson with years 3-6. But am sure it would work with years 2, 7 etc
