Within this resource pack you will find a teacher presentation whereby pupils categorise the places according to gender. Also is a vocab test of 21 places in town (English to French). The third resource is a crossword of 19 places in town. The clues are in English.
The second teacher presentation shows the definite and indefinite article with places in town. The pupils can learn these for a vocab test.
These are excellent resources for consolidating or revising this vocabulary. They are easy to edit and print too.

An interactive PowerPoint presentation that revises and reinforces high frequency vocabulary in a fun way. The first slide displays the 11 topics and the teacher or pupils decide which topic to test themselves on. Lots of popular games such as bingo can be played using the slides as a prompt. This is a really fun kinaesthetic activity that reinforces grammar and encourages pupils to proof read work checking spellings, agreements, genders etc

Included within this upload is a reading exercise to revise introductions, name, age, birthdays, where you live, brothers and sisters, height, eyes and hair. Pupils can select the translation or comprehension option to demonstrate understanding.
There is also a rolling loop presentation of 18 French phrases - pupils listen to the teacher say an English phrase and demonstrate understanding by translating the phrase. This is an excellent revision activity and can be played on loop for pupils to test each other in pairs two.
The second teacher presentation includes the solution to the puzzle whereby pupils use their reading and writing skills to unscramble phrases which demonstrate understanding of greetings, asking and saying how you are, asking and saying how old you are and asking when your birthday is.

Pupils demonstrate understanding of the text by translating words from English to German and finding the German in a word search.
This resource perfectly complements Expo 1. The starter is a thinking skills exercise where pupils complete the sequence using familiar high frequency vocabulary. There is also a tarsia puzzle to review house and home. Pupils then use a speaking frame to revise speaking about their house.
Pupils then learn out to say what they do in the evening using the pronoun “on”. They have excellent visual support in the slides to introduce the vocabulary. Negatives are also introduced. There is a modelled example for pupils to complete a diary of what they do in the evening and in what room. There is a game to practice recall of the key phrases. The future tense uncovered! This is a series of at least 2 lessons to introduce the futur proche and the futur simple. Included in the 47 slide teacher PPT presentation is revision of the conjugation of “aller” then a crossword to check understanding. The formation of the “futur proche” is shown step by step. There is a match up activity of useful time phrases. Next is an exercise to insert the correct form of “aller” in sentences containing high frequency vocabulary. There is a speaking activity with picture prompts of using the 3rd person with the “futur proche” and forming negatives. To review understanding there is a slide of 15 sentences and pupils need to say whether they are in the future or the past. There is then a reading activity about holidays to build grammar awareness, distinguishing present past and future formations.
Pupils are then taken through the formation of the “future simple”. This is very visual using animation and clear explanations. Irregular stems are listed. There is an exercise of 14 sentences and pupils have to decide whether they are in the future or the past. There is a match up activity of verbs in different forms. There is an exercise of 15 irregular verbs that need to be unscrambled. Next is a dialogue of two people writing about their future plans and pupils need to identify the verbs in the future.
