The town of Kendal was badly affected by the flooding after Storm Desmond and is only now recovering. I created this colouring page of a Mayfly I found by Rydal Water in the Lake District for my students to colour in as part of our module on habitats, ecosystems, invertebrates, and pond dipping. I hope your class will have as much fun bringing the Mayfly to life as mine did. An augmented reality version of this page is also available in the published book to be released 2018. This will allow students to colour in the picture and then see it on their smartphone or tablet computer, along with further details from the National Curriculum.
