This fully prepared and ready to go lesson was used as mock feedback for a Year 11 class and was judged to be outstanding in a deparetmental review. Comments particularly praised the differentiation, challenge and independent learning approach. In addition, it has enhanced student progress with exam technique and had very positive student feedback.
The worksheets are designed for students to build specific skills identified through assessment, in this case mocks. This takes them through a range of activities deigned to work on their particle focus areas. Activities include review of a range of model answers of different styles, using examiner feedback and mark schemes as well as sentences starters. Each worksheet finishes with a range of exam questions to practice designed to show progress in their particular area. This lesson takes approximately an hour to cover and has really supported students in their exam technique.
The teacher will need to review students exam technique place each students into a group depending on their area for development. There are 5 different areas for development each has a an associated and differentiated learning objectives noted by a different colour.
Blue: to predict and prepare for a range of 8 mark questions.
Green: to improve 8 mark answers and move from level 2 to level 3
Pink: to improve extended explanations
Purple: to improve use of case study and source material in answers.
Yellow: to improve use of command word and directly answering exam question.

You are buying two resources both are designed to be printed and stuck in the front/back of students books. They should a source of constant reference and useful when covering exam questions as well as literacy and numeracy tasks. They were created to allow student to meet the new literacy and numeracy needs of the new AQA Geography GCSE but could be used at all key stages.
The first allows student to input grades for their internal assessment . We assess every unit so this has been done for our assessments but would be easy to change if you have a different assessment structure. It then sets out the expectations of students at GCSE and also has suggested activities if the finish and to improve their grade in Geography. Below this is the list of command words as provided by AQA for their reference. We have also included a world map so they can plot case studies and examples. It is a little small to do anything else on.
The second is a combined literacy and numeracy hand out also aimed at the new GCSE and its increased focus on longer answer question and numeracy within the fieldwork elements. It has a range of key phrases which can be used to extend and stretch written work. In addition there are a few commonly mis-spelt words. The numeracy element covers how to calculate averages, percentages etc. as well as having a list of common units in Geography for them to refer too.

These are a range of 9 marking and feedback stickers. Stickers make marking students work quick and easy. They are mostly aimed at exam question feedback for GCSE but could be used for range of year groups of purposes. I find them most useful to prevent myself from writing similar or even identical comments numerous times, for this reason marking stickers could be a simple solution to reduce marking time. I have also include a explanation phrases sticker and larger BUG sticker which has proved useful to get students to extend their explanations and read the questions properly. In order to use these stickers you will need printable labels. Small stickers: 65 per Sheet (38.1 x 21.2mm)). Larger stickers: 8 stickers per sheet (99.1 x 67.7 MM).
If possible the stickers can be printed in colour, in order to each marking sticker to grab students attention when they review their prior work.
All feedback appreciated please review and comment as necessary.
Thank you!
