Anagrams are fun and they can be used in literacy lessons to good effect. Who could resist knowing that Clint Eastwood can become Old West Action? You needn’t stop at names, Shakespeare’s “To be or not to be: that is the question, whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to sffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune” becomes “In one of the Bard’s best-thought-of tragedies, our insistent hero, Hamlet, queries on two fronts about how life turns rotten.” I’m dining out on that one!
