“She’s my inspiration and the person who made me realise that I wanted to become a teacher too,” says Claire, who is a receptionYear 1 teacher at a village primary in nearby Northamptonshire. She says her mother is a “jolly and positive” person who has touched the lives of many. “I would like her to know how highly regarded she is by colleagues but also by her own family.” Currently, Mrs Llewellyn is the nursery teacher at Rokeby. “She’s a loving, child-centred teacher,” according to headteacher Catherine Dunster, who will be presenting our flowers, champagne and chocolates at an assembly next week.
Friday magazine has three more editions before the end of term. Don’t leave it too late to thank the person who’s a gem in your school. Tell The TES you’ve got a national treasure and we’ll try to make them a Friday Hero.
