RNIB Techshare 2002

This conference, hosted by the Royal National Institute for the Blind, is aimed at professionals interested in helping the visually impaired gain independent access to education, employment and lifelong learning. The event will explore several subjects including e-learning, computer-based training, distance learning, digital technology, website issues and new hardware and software products among others. Speakers include: Heinz Wolff, emeritus professor, Brunel University, and Andrew Pinder, the Government’s e-envoy.

Netd@ys 2002

This European Commission event, administered in the UK by Becta, showcases projects using online technology in learning, teaching and discovery (15-25 age range). This year’s theme is “Image” with an emphasis on European cinema. Special activities have been developed for Netdays Week including the creation of websites on image education subjects and of virtual museums showing the best images from films, videos and photography. Training and learning materials about making short films, videos and computer graphics have been created and exchanged on the internet.

The BETT Show
