I read “Hidden Heroes” by Elaine Williams (Friday, January 5) with interest. Its story of remarkable cases of young people’s courage and selflessness shows that there is much to feel positive about in the younger generation.
There was one quote from Antony Edkins which made me want to shout “Hurrah!” He said: “We should enable all kinds of children o feel motivated. Life is not just about GCSE results.”
I believe so strongly that life is about so much more than exam results - although they have their place. Children should attempt to do their best in whatever they try to do but there should be more encouragement right across the board.
