I’m confused about adverts for the new teaching and learning responsibility payments. They imply that there are points such as2a or 1c within TLR1 and TLR2. What do they mean?
There are no official salary points within the two bands. However, as any two teachers on the same TLR, but at different salaries, must be separated by a pound;1,500 differential, some unofficial systems are emerging based on steps calculated up from the bottom of the two ranges. It is too early to tell whether they will become common currency.
