BioEd Online gives information about biology for teachers, students, and parents. There are video presentations covering classroom management and science standards. Topics include content reviews for prospective teachers, updates for experienced ones, laboratory technique and assessment. The site also has presentations for trainees as they prepare for the classroom. The slide library enables teachers to put together their own lesson plans and is updated regularly.

Odes to creativity
Can I Have A Word is a site developed by Barbican Education.
It offers teachers ways of inspiring creative writing in the classroom.
There are four projects: the elements; the human body; the odyssey; and changing voices. For each project there are poems to listen to and films to stimulate pupils to write creatively. The site includes profiles of successful poets and “top tips” for writing.

Teenwire is a sexual health website that provides teenagers with facts about sex to reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy and sexually-transmitted diseases. There is also information about self-esteem, body image, drugs and alcohol, communication, and relationship advice.
