The EIS finance and general purposes committee is making no recommendations to today’s executive council.
Union representatives met Scottish Office officials last week to “clarify” the latest concessions on the work of the liaison group, phasing, the means of allocating the Pounds 24 million and multi-level teaching.
The committee was left with egg on its face when it narrowly agreed by 11 votes to nine to recommend a delay in balloting on a boycott until November. This was thrown out by the executive council by 65 votes to 10.
