It was developed by Newham in conjunction with the Standing Advisory Council on RE (SACRE), which has representatives from several religious groups in the community as well as teachers from 11 primary and four secondary schools.

Newham’s residents come from all over the world including India, Pakistan, Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, Eastern Europe and Portugal.
