In the year of the 200th anniversary of the world’s first steam locomotive, Richard Trevithick’s Penydarren and the 100th anniversary of City of Truro breaking the 100mph barrier, the National Railway Museum in York is staging a Railfest from May 29-June 6. Many record-breaking locomotives will be on display, from the first steam locomotive to the latest tilting train. It includes Olton Hall, the train star of the Harry Potter films.
