Scottish pupils are being asked to predict what the NHS will look like in 2068.
The contest, open to children in P6 to S2, is part of the celebrations marking 60 years of the health service in Scotland. Stories, poems and factual essays are all welcomed. Entrants are encouraged to take inspiration from previous advances in Scottish healthcare, such as bionic arms, kidney transplants and ultrasound scanning for pregnant women.
Two winners will receive a Nintendo Wii and tickets to a Scotland football match, as well as prizes for their school including coaching sessions with the Scottish Football Association. The deadline is November 17, and winners will be announced on November 24.
