Readers of your article “Help gifted more, says Bell” (TES, March 5) will be pleased to learn that help is at hand.
The National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth was created by government to drive forward work on improving provision for gifted and talented children up to the age of 19.
To date we have been working with teachers and pupils in the 11 to 19 age range, but from September we extend our remit into primary. We will be offering support to schools in all the areas that David Bell mentions and look forward to working with the primary sector. If you or your school would like to flag an interest please contact us and we will keep you up to speed.
