“Primaries predict test goals will be missed”, (TES, June 14). Goals, as we all know in this football-fevered few weeks, are merely pipe-dreams with deadlines.
It is a fact that heads and governors are facing enormous pressures to set impossible targets. Whatever happened to the normal curve of distribution?
It is being skewed by a minister for education who should know better. Well done Cornwall for “opting out”: are we all brave enough to follow suit?
