RESEARCHERS have branded school science boring but the fightback has begun with a competition which has the backing of stars from the worlds of pop and sport.
Teen bands S Club and Blazin’ Squad (pictured) and England footballer James Beattie, are among prime suspects in a science “Whodunit” in which thousands of pupils will turn forensic scientist to solve a theft.
Schools have until the end of April to register for the Whodunit, organised by Planet Science, the pound;4 million successor campaign to the Government’s Science Year.
Evidence in packs produced for them include scrapings from the celebrities’
shoes and a note discovered nearby.
