Teachers often miss out on radio programs because of their daytime duties and marking, but the internet is proving a saviour for those who want to catch up. Take Libby Purves’ Learning Curve programme on BBC Radio 4, for example. On November 19 last year she interviewed schools minister David Milliband. Missed it? Well, if you go to the Learning Curve website you can trawl through earlier programmes and play them on your computer. It’s a dramatic example of the internet adding to other media rather than competing with it, as the techno-fear merchants would have you believe.
