Schools have policies on racism, bullying and Net safety. How many have a policy on plagiarism? There is a growing feeling among some teachers at key stage 4 that plagiarism is a problem. It can be combated in a number of ways. Better task-setting is one. Another is to ensure that students are aware that their teachers know what is going on. Michael Levy, at the University of Florida, has a policy on plagiarism.
