Isn’t it rather hypocritical that the education unit at the Houses of Parliament in its advertisement (TES, March 6) stipulated that only the more able GCSE students may attend one of the autumn visits to Parliament, given that the current Government believes so strongly in the concept of inclusivity?
While lower-achieving pupils are expected to experience the full delights of an often inappropriate national curriculum, they apparently may not have access to the workings of democracy - a fine example of social exclusion.
