A Suffolk headteacher has criticised a group of parents who allowed children to miss a day’s school to help out at a pheasant shoot. Dave Shorten, of Stradbroke high school in Eye, complained in a newsletter to parents.
“Not only does the pupil unnecessarily miss a day’s work but the payment he receives is illegal,” said the head. “Please don’t allow this to happen again.”
